8 Marvila opens the month, the taprooms carry the heat, and a neighbourhood that does not empty in August keeps its own rhythm.
A monthly guide to events, culture, neighbourhood stories and updates from The Marvilla Collection. This is a preview of Issue 04.
Welcome to the August issue.
Most of Lisbon thins out this month. Marvila does the opposite of disappear. The warehouses stay open, the taprooms carry the heat, and the neighbourhood keeps its own company through the quietest weeks of the year.
What's on this month, all of it within a short walk or a short ride: 8 Marvila, artist studios, Dois Corvos, Musa, Casa do Capitão and the return of Festival Iminente in September.
The Marvilla Collection Team
August is the test month. When the rest of the city empties, a neighbourhood shows whether it has residents or only visitors. Marvila passes it: warehouses keep their nights, breweries keep their terraces, and the river still smells of diesel and salt.
